Driving and TALKING, I dont see as being so much a problem. Driving and TEXTING I would say is a problem.

It will be harder to see if someone is texting while driving which might lead to more people texting and driving, even if it is banned.

I am courious what numbers of acctual accidents are from driving and TALKING?

mate i got 3 points for speeding then 3 points for crashing my car in middle last year, it took them like 3 months to get it al sorted, then both parts of licence came through the door with just the points on nothing about a ban, i thought same as you can i drive, appeared not a couple of days later i recieved a letter saying you have been banned please send both parts of your licence to somewhere. so wouldnt go driving just yet as you might also get a letter

I know what you are thinking bud, just drive about anyway and if you do get pulled just show them your license and telling the cops to eff off.

but it might not work like that mate, you may have the license given to you but according to DVLA records you are banned. and that is what cops will go on. even if you do have the hard copy of a license to show, they will just say that you knew you had been banned so you shouldn't have been on road regardless. they will say 'ignorance is no excuse' and all that.

better to go and check, rather than risk getting done for driving whilst disqualified.

take the hit and learn from hit, at least thats what i'd do.

You could also get stuck on for fraud as well given that your aware of your banned status. A memorandum of conviction from the court will prove your status to any courts satisfaction and your insurance would be invalid so you could get stuck on for;

Driving whilst disqual

No Insurance

Fraud

Any copper that gives you a tug can check the PNC and it will show your true status. If he's done this and you flash the licence, I guarantee you'll get nicked.
