I think for Footman James the car has to be over 15 years old, and i think you have to be 21 or 25 i cant remember off the top of my head.

It also depends on the car, believe it or not it is cheaper to insure an older more valuable car. I tried insuring my Peugeot 205 with a classics broker and they wanted £9000 a year

That cant be right my mates beetle is on classic car policy and his is not standard...

Mods are def declared as well as wheels alone are insured for 1k.

Pretty sure you have to have limited milage tho and has to be garaged (or at least his policy he does)

footman james was the only company who would insure me when i was 18 but only on a low performance car - wouldn't insure me on the G40 :(

Also don't build up any no claims on the policy.
