Hi i'm new to the forum. I actually drive a Renault Sport Clio 197 (don't hate me for that )

Anyway reason i'm here is that my mum is getting a new car shortly under the scrappage scheme.

The car she drives is a Polo 1.4 16v...believe these are quite rare and have a few bits on which other Polo's don't, clear front lights and darkened rear lights for example...

What i'm offering is if anyone would like any bits off this car in return for a standard part and a small cash fee then feel free to contact me.

The car is in red and in very good condition bar a couple of scratches on the bumpers.

This is why I hate this scheme, that would be a good little car for someone on here, I'll guess its low mileage well looked after etc. And obviously a good standard example.

Its just criminal, that car will have years of life left in it!

Because she'll be probably be getting 3k,or more,depending on what she traded it

in for and lets face it,she wouldn't get 3k from anyone on here for it would she?

I think u have got to have the car 12 months to use it on the scrapping scheme?...

She is srapping it as part of the scheme...bit gutting but she's getting a Hyundai i10, 5 years warranty, no MOT's for 3 years, plus its only £4995 after the 2k for the Polo is taken off. She only goes to the shops in it anyway so it'll do her.

The Polo has done 90K miles and is in great condition, however in the past its had some paintwork as i can see very very light filler scratches in 1 of the rear quarters.

That is a REALLLL SHAME! that its getting scrapped, but as been said its still getting sold for £2K+ really.

I suggest seen as your trading parts. you should go to your local scrappy's or look in your local paper and buy some cheap 14" minimum steel wheels as those alloys are a little rare and you could sell them on separate and make more money on them. :)

Someone also asked about trading you white bumpers. You will probably be charge £100 each to get a bumper resprayed. You should just accept the offer of his bumpers plus cash your way and whilst the white bumpers r off, spray them yourself with a halfords rattle spray can. Coz a mean, as long as it doesn't stand out whose gonna care, Its getting Scrapped. :(

Hi lads.

Yeah i know the colour of the bumpers doesn't matter...but my mum is still using the car until her new one comes and doesn't want white bumpers...i had thought of painting them myself to be honest with rattle cans.

Side repeaters - What have you got in return??

I would go and check out the local scrappy's for parts but then the bits i'm offering now would be a lot pricier than the prices i am currently quoting cos i'd have to cover the cost of buying the parts from the scrap yard! But i the new year i will be trying to get a set of steelies for it.

Would you sell the pas reservoir? I can replace it with what's on my car but it's nt standard and the pipes foul on the fan.

16v Bolton - Yeah sure mate. Offered another lad the wheeels in return for £50 and his wheels, provided the tyre tread is well over legal. Let me know or make me an offer. I am not posting them.
