Hey everyone, I've been a member of this forum for 3 years now, as I've been after buying a mk3 coupe polo since i was a kid! I'd never really found the right one, or when I did I didn't have the cash, and since then I've had a couple of non vw cars, but finally this year I was so fed up with driving my mum's fiesta around I decided the time was right to get myself the car I've been wanting for years, so when I found out a mate had this taking up room on his drive, I jumped at the chance & parted with my hard earned cash!

This is how it looked when I got it (although it had wheel trims on!):

Since then all I've done is stripped the back seats out, sprayed the front badge matt black, bought some standard numberplates, and taken the splitter off as it was getting wrecked on my stupid driveway.

My only real plans for it are to get a nice set of wheels for it, get some new/spray the mirrors black, and tidy up the paint work. I really like the silver colour & I haven't seen many around, there is a fair bit of damage to the left side of the car (that's why I take photos from the right!). I'm not sure which wheels to get, looking for something small & wide I think, that would probably look best on it. What do people think???

Yeah, sometimes I look at it & think it looks sweet as it is,but then I see other with wider wheels & realise how much cooler it is! Also would love it lower (think it's been lowered 30mm already) but don't want it too impractical so figured nicer wheels at this height would set it off!

Right then, I've actually starting doing a bit more to my car, bought these sweet wheels from MR FRAUDS just before christmas...

Really couldn't be bothered to polish them up/wax the lip/do anything that will require looking after in the winter, so 1 can of Hammerite barbecue paint later...

Bit worried about what the fuzz might say about the width on the front though? Where can you get some kind of stick on wide arch thingys? (Sorry for my lack of technical speak!)
