Hay guys

well i have a problem and any help is appreciated

as i am sure most people have see its snowing now my drivers side lock has never been very good its locked up before saved with some wd40 and always been a bit stiff in the snow it froze and to open it i prob used to much force now the key will turn in the lock it feels like it snagging or something but the door pin wont move at all i can lock it from inside so the lock still works but something has gone wrong inside the lock

so what should i be looking to do next

do i take it to a grange or do i take the lock off and look my self and then is it use the passenger side to fix or scrap yard

sorry i dont really know what to do as a plan was going to try and take it off tomorrow and have a look but what are the chances its an easy fix?

Easy method, depending on how arsed you can be.

open the door, look at the inside of it where the handles meets, you'll see a screw. Undo it.

Then slide the handle towards the front of the car, then pivot it out taking care not to kill the pin which goes into the lock.

Do the same on the passenger side, now switch them round.

slightly sorted, whilst you're at it you may as well get a rear handle from a five door polo and de-lock the passenger side.

Yeah my locks have been freezing up left right and centre!

i just swapped over the hole thing only problem i had was door needs to be open to take it off and closed to put it on
