Hi guys,

just purchased some 16v foglights and grills but with no wiring loom or switch.

whats the easiest way to wire them up?

any guides?

would you be able to make the loom and provide a switch for them to work off. I.e have a sperate little flick switch inside the car instead of the standard pull out switch. :) Pm me a reply please :)

Basically you would need some insulation tape to secure it to the rest of the light loom! Rest will be supplied ie loom and a relay and there's two little spades you need to push into the main headlight loom connecter, two clips one that goes in a plug in the fuse box and one that goes in the headlight plug!

A philips screw driver to get the little plate under the fuse box out!

A pair of pliers to remove a bridge and then just plug a relay into that socket! Shouldn't take long at all if you read my guide that explains better!

I've recently done one on A blokes se took me around 15mins to do the wiring! Hardest part is attachin the fogs to the car! Lol

might need a guide of some kind or the wiring loom as I've got 1 fog and the other on the way lmao

what i done on both my cars with 8v Fogs and 16v fogs went down to halfords and brought the foglight kit come with a little switch which i have just put in my drives side glovebox out the way then.

right guys bought a kit from halfords but I'm hving troubles.lol

i connected the red wire that has an inlien fuse from the relay to the possitive battery terminal.

then the blue wire from the relay to the middle of the switch labeled acc

then the orange wires from relay are supposed to go to the fog lights, but i have to pins on the fog lights, and it says I'm supposed to ground the foglights, but I'm not sure how?

then the black groudn wire from the relay is supposed to go somewhere in the engine bay is it ok to put it on one of the front quarter panel bolts?

then from the switch there is a ground wire but where can i attach this in the car?

then it says to attach another blue wire from the switch to the sidelight wires, but i dont know which one and where to find it. does this have to be done?

is that it or am i missing something?

ground wires want a lug crimping onto them then bolting to pretty much anything large and metal on the car, sand or file around the bolt for a better connection.

The blue wire to the sidelights will probably be the positive for the control circuit so find the sidelight wire behind the switch on the right hand side of your steering wheel, Dont hold me to that 100% as I'm just going on what I'm picturing from your description. Photos and a scan/photo of the instructions would be helpful :-)

and on the back of the fogs what do i connect the wire to as there are 2 pins,

is one a ground?

if so which one and where do i ground it?

not sure which wire, try pulling them out until the sidelights dont work maybe? back of the fogs it shouldn't matter which you use as ground, either. lug it onto the front panel somewhere, there should be a bolt you can use somewhere, otherwise drill a 4mm hole and M4 nut & bolt the lug to the panel.
