Tyre levers???

aye large tyre irons

pop the valves out and drive over corner of tyre in van or somet , or just take down to local national tyres or somet and ask them

just pay the fiver, not worth the messing about doing it any other way.

well I'm not so green to not think about levers, but i haven't seen any got any or have any idea about technique. and so I'm pretty much in agreeance with you pettsy cos their strong and fit so tight unless someone can give me some more detailed advice il probably carry on paying!

Agree.. Just pay, its quicker an easier!

When i can't afford to i get one of those climbing ladders, (the ones that they use to get Land Rovers unstuck then grab a plank of wood then force the wood into the roof, this pushes the tyre off the rim (once its got no pressure obvs!) then use tyres levers to remove completly!

I do recomend paying though!

honestly, taking them to a garage will save the biggest pain in the arse you'd regret starting if you attempted to take them off yourself lol

It is much easier to pay the fiver if you only have a few.

I used to do a lot of drifting meaning that for one days drifting I needed around 5-10 pairs of rear wheels and tyres as this would be expensive I would change them myself by hand.

To break the beads I used a peice of 4x2wood, a jack and the lintle of my garage door, stack the three under the lintle, jack, wheel rim 4x2 against the bead and jack up into the lintle. Do this both sides to break the bead. then using lots of washing up liquid and at least two, if not three tyre leavers lift the beads over the wheel.

It's breaking the bead that's the tricky bit. I used to have a manual breaker, but really got sick of it, then broke it anyway.

If I were doing it by hand now, I'd get a slide hammer like the blokes that do HGV tyres use. Best way is work out when the boss isn't at your local tyre place and offer the shiftiest looking one a tenner in his hand to do a heap of them.
