For sale is my beloved Mk3 polo Breadvan. This was my first car and I have owned it for over 2 years now and it has been fantastic.

I bought the car from a little old lady in Exeter who was the first owner from new, so it’s a local car and was first registered at Mann Egerton of Exeter.

The car has never let me down, and always starts first time every time, come rain or snow :). It has been long journey’s and has never missed a beat, I travel around 25 miles a day to work and back so it get a good run everyday. I have no issues with taking this car on long runs (just come back from London).

I am only selling because I have found a nice golf 16v that iv’e wanted for ages.

I have been really surprised at how reliable and useful the car has been and I will be really sad to see it go (as I’m sure everyone is with their first car).

Here is a list of parts and work that have been fitted/done since owning the car:

New petrol tank

At 58,000 it had (head gasket, cam belt, fan belt, stretch bolts, water pump, dizzy, leads, oil, fuel and air filter, engine and gear box oil, coolant, brake fluid change, spark plugs)

Gmax (I think)Suspension Lowered 60/40

Recently it has had-

Service – Engine Oil, Air and oil filter

Front disks and pads (Genuine VW)

Starter motor

2nd hand cooling fan and motor

Interior:

Standard grey interior, excellent condition apart from drivers bolster is sagging a bit and a bit of the stitching on the passenger seat that has come apart but could be easily fixed.

Standard tape Head unit, kenwood (I think) component speakers in front

Un-cut parcel shelf

Non leaking sunroof

Exterior:

Most of the paint is in good condition and comes up really nice when polished, Royal Blue but looks black LA5U

There is very little rust on the car, only bit is on the N/S front arch which has been treated.

(see bad points)

Has an immobilisor fitted as standard, comes with fob

Wheels are BBS RA’s as found on G40’s, fronts could do with a re-furb as there is pitting but rears are pretty good, rears have small amounts of kerbing (not by me).

Tyres are Toyo proxes and have plenty of tread

Good points: Full service history from new (mostly VW), until I owned the car as I have done the servicing myself. Lots of money spent.

Bad points: a few small dents and marks on the bodywork and some stone chips on the bonnet and windscreen.

The N/S rear quarter has been sanded back and filled as there was a lot of laquor peel but I have the paint mixed up to finish it off. The roof has fading on the laquor and needs respraying too.

The car has developed a vibrating noise when at low revs, could possibly be the exhaust rattling against somthing.

The rear N/S suspension 'knocks' when going over a large bump, but i will supply new shock for the rear in the sale.

yeh no problem.

The repair wasn't because of rust, it was just because on laquor peel, it looks ok atm but i think the primer might need sanding back once more to make it perfect.

Bumpy for my breadvan

please someone buy it, would make an excellent daily run around. Great on fuel!

Wish my new 16v was as mint as this and started so sweetly.
