stock i think, looks far to butch on the front end, and makes it look like its an older car imho :)

The vento front does make the car look older, but it is nicer. Mk3 golfs don't have a particularly nice front tbh.

never realy seen it on a mk3 before only on a mk2 think it looks cool tho would like to see a better picture of the car but still kool :-D

I like the vento front in general, but it does depend on the car - iv seen some which look crap and others that are shit hot

the front end on a mk3 golf is probably the worst looking part of any car that vw have produced, i've own 2 mk3's and (apart from the fact they are really shit cars) the front end was my main hatred for them. the vento front does make them look a lot better, it doesn't make it any less of a shit car mind...

can u swap the mk3 and mk4 front ? as the cabbys share the same body , would of thought be just like a 6n2 on a 6n conversion , bumper , wings , headlamps , slam panel , bonet etc

btw vento fronted mk3 cabs are mint as fuk time for sum pic whoring i think

You can put the later MK4 style front and back from the MK4 cab onto the MK3 hatch,yes. I've never seen it done but the car was proportionately identical being just a facelifted MK3.

But its not as easy as it looks. The rear bumper has a recess for the plate,to get the look at the back you'd have to weld the cab boot panel onto the hatch tailgate.

And there are many differences at the front,under the skin,and i believe metalwork is included,so you cant just bolt the MK4 cab front straight onto a MK3 without work.

Late Mk3 (ie, Mk4) cabby front end is quite a simple swap to the Mk3, if you get EVERYTHING that bolts on. Not difficult in terms of the work, but you need a whole lot of the front end of the cabby. You'll probably need arch trims though as things don't quite line up IIRC.

Depends on wether its colour coded or whatnot. Looks good on some cars and shit on others. vento's ftw though...

whoop whoop hell yea!!you need to do something with your bumper colour code it smooth it?up to you think if you at least colour code it ,it wont look as bad,at mo with just the black textured bumper it dont look like a vr6,wich makes it look older!!?my opinion

Yep he's hopefully sorting them for me :)

We couldn't do them this week as all the tools were at his work which has been closed, so hopefully we can do them this week when he can get access to the tools!

Alot of the other MK3's definately look similar, it was Jons that inspired my interior and made me want to trim the inside!

I vote vento front end BUT change the grille to a 3 bar grille coz thats whats making it look old. :)

That's my fave combo i think, vento front on a mk3 hatch with badged grille and unsmoothed bumper :)

since you're using the pics of my old golf, I'm going to add another one and bring my golf which came after into the mix.

See! When colour coded, even the bottom half makes so much difference.
