aye, yeah its this tiny netbook I'm using the keys are so small on it its easy to make mistakes

We travel every year to the Polo Show,which for a couple of

guys from up here is nearly 1000 miles and you think a drive

to the Scottish borders is too long from Birmingham...

Some of this sounds interesting.

A drive oooooop north would be cool. Some awesome scenery and photo ops to be had.

I've done both cat & fiddle and snakes pass and both roads are deathtraps.

Again the problem of camping still remains.

The way me and a load of mates did it last time was just to book in 2's (as the place didnt like groups, although they where fine with us when they realised we where together lol)

But as you can imagine, that could be a bit of a pain. Especially if a lot of people want come.

Only other choice is to go on a really crappy site.

Id rather do the couples thing just for the decent showers tbh haha!

I've stayed at a camp site called trevelgue in newquay a fair few times, got awesome showers and a burger van which is awesome. Its right next to porth beach which is beautiful and not that far from fistral beach. And a wicked pub there too which serves proper scrumpy. I do live about 30mins away tho. But id be well up for a convoy and camping. But id have to join the convoy at uni in bristol.

If there are sufficient entries, other classes may be created. If there are insufficient

entries in a class, it may be amalgamated with another appropriate class. we encourage

sponsorship of classes and prizes by traders, clubs and individuals.

All cars must be at the Concours Arena on the Sunday not later than 10am. You will be

sent a ‘Concours Entrant’ sticker to display clearly on your car.

Entry to Concours is free, but does not include entry to the Show. All occupants will

require Show Entry passes. CLUB AND TRADE STANDS.

£50 per Single Trade Plot

Club Plot free by prior arrangement

A Stand Plot is 5m x 5m. Plot price includes entry to the Show for one vehicle and two adults.

Additional passes are available for £10 per vehicle. Trade passes will only be issued on receipt

of a completed booking form with appropriate payment. Early application is advised. Traders

wishing to erect marquees / gazebos should ensure they book sufficient space and are responsible

for insuring their stand is safe. Any stand area exceeded will be charged appropriately. Traders

admitted from 2pm Friday, all day Saturday, and before 10 am Sunday.

CAR SALES

A plot in the Cars for Sale area costs £10 per day inc. a day admission pass for one person.

AUTOJUMBLE

Plots cost £20 per day and includes an admission pass for one person. One vehicle allowed per plot.

The area must be kept reasonably tidy and all unsold parts and waste removed afterwards.

Camping charges are £20 per PERSON including entry to show regardless of the number of nights

on site. Recognised barbeques are permitted, but…

I don't see why the john o groats to lands end idea got so much bad feedback tbh, it's something I plan to do next summer with a few mates, should be a good laugh. Avoiding motorways wherever possible too ofcourse. But then I guess it depends what you're after.

I'm after something that isn't gonna take all week,mate.

You got any idea how long 2k miles of A/B roads takes? It'd be 40 hours on motorways,people gonna be falling asleep at the wheel by the shortest route as it is.

All this talk of a campsite,we're gonna need more than one plot for that kind of run.

I'd happily drive up North at some point, but as its a much longer run id rather see how Cornwall turns out 1st.

Next year at some point or just later on in the year.

It will probably rain on us no matter when and where we go. Just gotta hope for the best.

Last time I went we bought the summer with us from Germany, happened to be one of the hottest weeks of the year
