ok here's the situation.

1. had a crash, my fault. (septempber)

2. insurance company got in touch with me for details of it. (september)

3. heard nothing back from insurance (now almost january)

4. went online to change insurance over to another car

5. they dont even know about my accident

6. i have to ring a premium rate phone line to speak to someone... (£1 a minute... fuck that I'm not rich)

7. so i emailed them (nov) no reply

they online quote me £154 to change my insurance over to a 306TD, but they dont appear to know about my accident, when they should as they have contacted me etc. should i just pay the £154 and see what happens? whats the worst that could happen... surely they wouldnt void my insurance?

broker is 'ecar', owned by 'eldon'... ecar never contacted me about my crash, but eldon did.

your going to have to ring them I'm afraid to say, they dont actually do anything at ecar i had a car insured with them it was stolen and recovered slightly damaged. i phoned them and they had it moved to a car repair garage to be assessed i had to get on there back for ages to have them sort out my payout, before i got a payout i had an angry phone call from the repair center asking when i was getting my car as they would have to start charging me for storage, i phoned ecar again and they eventually informed the garage i wasnt picking my car up and i got may payout some time later but overall it was a terrible ordeal you might get away with it as i dont think there records are very good but to be on the safe side you might want to phone them and declare it on your next insurance policy or ask them if they can check any records for you.
