LED strips in rear brake lights?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have recently bought some audi style LED strips, not to put in my headlights but in my rear's so when I brake they come on. They are exactly the same as these >> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/24cm-Flexible-In-Car...=item2a03a813c9 My question is, does anyone know how to wire them up to the brake lights?

I have already tried wiring up a rear 3rd LED brake light and tried wiring it up to one of the rear brake wires but when I did nothing happened, the light did not come on.

Thanks in advance! :)

LED's will only work one way round, try swapping the + and -

if not, you may need a resistor if there isnt one already built into the strip of LED's

The only problem with that is that, there are two wires coming from the LED strips, so I need to make a circuit, I have already got 6n2 rear's in so have the wiring changed, maybe I need to add another connector? :)
