First, I would clay it.

First, I would clay it.

Come again? What's claying it bud...

claying is a wiping a claybar over your paint with a suitable lubricant, its not like modeling clay though its proper cleaning clay

Think I'll stick to the sponge and t-cut haha. Cheers pal.

Anyone put any mk2 golf gti lights in a polo, I know someone who does body work, I'm guessing they won't fit strait in with them being a different shape.

claying gets the surface ready for everything else as it safely takes away all the industrial fallout etc., makes a big difference to the condition of the paint and is even recommended as being done on brand new cars (due to transport etc.) and should defiantly be done on older cars. Wash the car and then rub your finger over a section of the bonnet it should feel a bit gritty, claying gets rid of this.

TBH T-cut isnt all its cracked up to be (unless you have a Mars/Tornado Red car), and once you get the detailing bug you'llwonder why you even used it before.

By MK2 GTI i assume you mean the 4 lamp grill? if so you can get the polo equivalent. What Mk polo is it?

Would highly recommend following most of this.

Cheers pal ill have another good luck on the website you put up. I thought it was just another cleaning liquor like t-cut and auto glym.

Yeah the 4 lamp grill I love them:D by any chance do you know where I could get them from? Don't worry if not I'll google it.

Edit: it's a mk2 bread van

I think either Hadrian's or Beever's sell them, but even if they sell the grille I'm not sure if they sell the lamps. Check out their sites.

Golf ones are too big. But used Polo ones do come up in the For Sale section here, and in the usual places such as ebay,VW-only breakers etc.

Incidentally I'm with you on the T-cut but not the bright red bottle - use the metallic bottle instead, even if you dont have metallic paint.
