Simota Carbon Fibre Airbox (SOLD)

Featured Replies

Right...i've had this on my golf 20vt for a good 3-4 months without a problem, it is specced for a 1600cc engine but will fit any litre with modification.

Since i now have a Forge Intake, this is up for grabs...and is cheap!

Obviously it will require an elbow to fit this to a valver or 8 valve...but simple enough...you just need to measure your throttle body and buy a reducer, elbow etc etc the neck size on this is 70mm...

I'm after £50 inc. delivery and it will come with the extra air feed pictured which is 2ft long (60cm)...the one on it already is 1ft (30cm)

ideally i'd like £50 because delivery will be £10...the feed cost me £17 from ebay so it is a bit of a bargain filter if you take those prices away ;)

I'm just wondering why no one is interested thats why i said i'm willing to listen and i think its just because people dont have the cash at the mo

If one of you lads can work out how you'd like to install this thing then thats a start...the GT/mk3 polo, mk4 8v and 16v are all different in terms of where the TB is.

If you can let me know what your throttle body size is then its easier...say for examle you wanted to fit this as if it was a BMC so an elbow on the TB going straight to this filter then you'd need something like this:

70mm filter side to 60mm throttle body:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/70mm-to-60mm-SILICON...=item439c0e7c8e

70mm filter side to 50mm throttle body:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/70mm-2-3-4-50mm-2-el...=item3ca0bfff0b

It'd be around £15 for the elbow inc. post i'd say...but you still end up with a kickass carbon fibre filter for way less than a BMC and it does sound the nuts!! 8-)
