Seeing as I've just got my membership, I thought I'd start a thread on here. And I'll make sure to keep this one updated and not be lazy :p

So I got the car back in September, to replace my old Lupo which my boyfriend's now got.

Picture from the day I bought it

When I got it home we gave it a good detail, added the Audi R8 oil cap and the german plates

Since then there's not been that many changes, mainly as I'm saving up for a few bigger changes over the next couple of months ;)

I bought a Sharan style aerial:

and a BMC:

Also took the rear wiper off and fitted the aero wipers

I've also got these waiting to go on when the weather gets better :D

Yesterday I swapped the standard rear view mirror for a Lupo GTi one, only a small change but it looks a lot better, well in my opinion anyway :)

After

I've got quite a few things planned ready for the show season, I'll be keeping the thread updated

Put the front coilovers on today. The weather has been pretty damn miserable so the rears can wait until tomorrow!

Picture!

IMG_1528.jpg

Excuse the dirty wheel arch :p

haha as if there staying that low!

Your going to need the camber/tracking doing with that

You also want some nice grooved disks on there ;)

what a beaut! :D

  • Author

Yeah it was never staying that low lol. And I will get round to doing the brakes but i've got a few other things up my sleeve first ;)

Thanks for the comment Sam :)

All the coilovers are now on. I've kept the height sensible for now but it will be going lower! Just gonna let the coilovers settle first.

Put my 10mm H&R spacers on the rear too just to push the wheels out a bit. Pics...

I think it looks and feels a lot better now, a much nicer ride than the TA Technix I had on my old car anyway

Comments welcome!

There is slight camber but it's barely noticeable, it's just the way it looks in the picture!

And thanks :)

Forgot to mention that I got this the other day

Just need a sexy amp and comps and then i'll be starting on the boot build

The car will be making it's debut at All Types. Have had a think and rather than rushing everything for UD, i'm gonna get a few more things done so it'll be a bit more special and how I want it before it makes it's show debut 8-)

You planning on trimming the headlining in black too?

  • Author

Yeah the headlining and pillars will be getting trimmed black

I'll update with pics when the interior's done ;)

Is that a 10" or a 12" sub - if its a 10", have you got a link? I need one too :)

Good progress so far, liking the plans. Have you got plate surrounds on the car with your German plates?

  • Author

Thanks 8-)

It's a 12", I don't have a link either because I bought it off a friend. Tis brand new though :)

The plates are on with velcro, no plate surrounds

Gah, I'm starting to get a bit frustrated now. I did have the car booked in at the bodyshop next week but I've gotta go away with work so I've had to cancel :(

I will have an update next weekend though, and should be picking something up for the car over the next few days too ;)

do you need to laquer them afterwards to seal em?

I suppose you could, I guess it would seal the paint a bit better but would probably make them a bit too shiny for what I want so I haven't

I'll be getting standard black handles soon anyway, just didn't wanna get the car back from the re trimmers with grey handles
