I just used regular gloss black, with plastic primer. And yeah I lacquered them just to give them a bit of extra shine but lacquer's not necessarily needed, that's up to you

Well I got a bit lazy and haven't updated for a while Not that much has really happened lately... Car's been at the bodyshop mainly just for some tidying up.

My shiny freshly painted front bumper

Smoothed petrol flap

The roof bar mounting flap things had corroded so had these fixed and repainted

Had a few other things tidied up too, but they're the main things

Started on some prep for UD today too, just some of the smaller bits and bobs

Window seals cleaned

Door shuts cleaned

Started cleaning the backbox too, still needs a fair bit of work but it's looking a damn sight better than it was anyway

My wheels have been getting some love too, just need putting back together now. Just a quick tease until then..

More updates to come in the run up to U Dubs.....

Just a few more little things for now....

Repainted the backing of the rear badge as the paint had cracked

Some presents from VW

New door handle inserts as one of mine had broken. Just need to paint them

And new HT leads ready for service time

Hoping to get some more work done tomorrow if I get time :)

Little update today, added a new cold air feed to the BMC. It still needs a bit of tweaking, on the engine cover and stuff, and I need a red 90 degree bend but that'll get done soon enough!

You can get them on ebay, there's different sizes on there depending on what you need

Nothing big or exciting today, and only phone pics as the camera died...

When I got the car it had headlight protectors on which left some nice marks and scratches on the headlights started trying to fix these today. Not perfect but a bit better for now at least

For the headlights I used some wet 2000 grit and then polished it up. There's probably a better way of doing it but it seemed to work

What you polish it with? My headlights are scratched to hell, wouldnt mind giving them a tidy up too

Just regular polish. They need going over with the machine polisher really but I haven't got access to it at the minute
