Car looks great! Like everyone else says it gives you inspiration to make your Polo look as good as yours.

What other plans you got?

Thanks mate :)

I've got plans to change pretty much everything but whether it'll happen or not we'll see

The petrol cap was smoothed at the bodyshop and no there's no popper

I don't know tbh, it's been there for a while and I don't think I did it :doubt: But we can pretend it's because I'm low

The car's off the road now anyway, so we'll see what happens from here...

The Polo's finally off the road! :) I gave it a last wash today before it gets taken apart and thought I'd share a few pictures of it with my daily Lupo, just cause :p

So far I've only taken the boot build out and stripped the rear to start planning my new build ;) It's payday on Tuesday so there should be some proper updates coming after then :)

To be continued...

Looks great bud, nice and clean too

If you mean the reverse light (?) then it's just a LHD light :)

I don't have it at the minute but I can have a look if I remember!

I've been pretty lazy the past couple of weeks so I thought I'd get my arse down the unit today and actually get something done on the Polo. Didn't do a great deal to be honest, but until I get some stuff bought there's not much I can do apart from strip it!

The front end's off properly now anyway

IMG_0419.jpg

And I thought my engine bay was clean  haha

IMG_0420.jpg

The coolant bottle, washer bottle and battery are all out too

IMG_0423.jpg

I need to buy myself an engine crane and then the engine can come out and I can start work on the engine bay properly. Going to buy a few things tonight too so I can actually get on with some proper work

i know this a question about an old topic, i also searched through this thread and i don't think anyone has asked yet

but...

where did you get your number plates done/from? :)

also

i'm renowned among my friends and family to have the cleanest car in town...

but i want to go one step further!

is there anything you can recommend to make my car look like a mirror i.e. being stupidly clean!

*FYI, everything i use on my car at the moment, shampoo, polish, spray etc are all Auto Glym products*

thx!

The german pressed plates were just off a shop on ebay and the red one is a pressed plate that I painted myself.

I use quite a few different products on my car, the main ones though are Zaino (shampoo and quick detailer), Poorboys polishes, Chemical Guys Jetseal, Dodo Juice Supernatural wax. And it's machine polished too. I'd recommend getting yourself on detailing world too, you'll be able to get lots of advice on there :)

:ninja:

New engine came yesterday. It's an AUQ, 180bhp but it won't be staying that way for long :p I'm planning on getting a K04 set up, BAM inlet and a few other bits and bobs.

I know I'll probably get a lot of hate for the choice of engine, but at the end of the day we're gonna be doing the work ourselves and having never done an engine conversion before, I'd rather do something that I know I can get help with if (when!) I get stuck

Let the fun begin...

God I LOVE this car and it's a bout 2 get a whole lot better

Yes definitely ;)

I've got 10 days off work coming up over Christmas so I'm hoping to get some work done on the car for once  but just to keep the thread alive with some pictures...

I got an Ibiza Cupra engine cover cheap on ebay a few weeks ago and I was thinking about getting it tarted up and being a bit different, but I think I might have been a bit optimistic in thinking it'll ever fit  It was only 99p though

IMG_0491.jpg

And my Forge diverter valve

IMG_0493.jpg

I need to get the new engine down to the unit and then I can start stripping it and getting the bits ordered that I need :)

Haha you legend!

I'm looking forward to seeing the progress of this :)

Yes Yes Yes Yes!!!!

I've just spent the past 45 mins reading this thread. Gorgeous car, I seen it at the VW Festival and it looks even better in the flesh!
