Yeah my boyfriends done the headlining in his Lupo himself and it looks pretty damn good tbf so I guess I could have given it a go, but would be a bit harder re trimming the seats myself ;)

Will update with pics over the weekend :D

Well after 3 long weeks of waiting, I've finally got the car back with a full leather re-trim and the headlining, A, B & C pillars and sun visors in black alcantara.

I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking...:)

Thanks :D

Oh and I know my headrests are the wrong way round, they're sorted now :D

lol, i didnt notice that until you said.

Looks great

Worth paying out instead of waiting out for a leather interior to pop up second hand?

Ha yeah, I got in and was like something doesn't seem right.... lol, but I was too excited to change them before I took pics

Yeah I'd say it's worth paying the money rather than waiting if you can, as you can have it all exactly how you want it. But I suppose it's personal preference

Haha another red gti I love it trim looks awesome...I nearly bought a red leather interior for my red gti but then mammy crashed it

Nice progress so far though!

looks absolutely GORGEOUS! I've seen red leather audi tt seats but the red on those is dead bright and in your face where as yours isnt and it works soooo well!! what colour red is it if you dont mind me asking?

Yeah the colours really nice, I think anyway, it stands out but it's not shiny or too in your face. It's cherry red

awesome. nuff said :D

  SWEEET!! how much did that set you back matey if you dont mind me asking?!

that looks fantastic!

The quality of the work seems decent, but a red interior in a red car isn't a good look I'm afraid mate.

Obviously it's your car and money, but I would've gone for a grey leather, or even a black but with contrasted stitching.

Is it Nappa leather btw?

If it's alcantara, I'd have guessed around the 2k mark!

agree with above really, could have gone for a more contrasting colour but still the quality of the work does look top.

as for the price i wouldnt like to speculate, as i got a quote of around 3k+ for the seats in leather and headlining to be done in alcantara. that stuff is so so expensive.

nice update though

It is, think it's about 70 quid a metre ain't it?

yeah something like that man. my student budget cant stretch that far :tear:

Looks quality!! picked mine up yesterday but the red looks a tiny bit faded. Wha wax would anyone reccomend to get it back?

Thanks for the comments

I know it's not to everyones taste which is fair enough, I just wanted something a bit more exciting than black or grey tbh. I wanted something that didn't look standard, and black would have just been too dark anyway for my taste. I got the black stitching too for some contrast, so it doesn't look too much if you know what I mean, and it ties in nicely with the rest of the car.

But I love it and that's the main thing and i've had a lot of very positive feedback so far so I'm happy.

My car's just been machined polished, with Dodo Juice Supernatural wax, if that helps :)

Autoglym super resin polish, then Meguiars 2.0 Tech Wax.

This is what it did to mine:

Little update today, added a new cold air feed to the BMC. It still needs a bit of tweaking, on the engine cover and stuff, and I need a red 90 degree bend but that'll get done soon enough!
