Boring update alert!!

Well for the past few months I've been having issues with my EPC light, cutting out in traffic etc etc, been driving me mad. Went to one garage to get it on the diagnostics but they couldn't pin point it, second garage said it was coming up with a throttle body related fault. Tried cleaning the TB but a few days later the problem occured again so I decided to get a new TB and hope for the best.

Fitted the new one last night and took the car out for a run this morning and wehey, I actually have proper throttle response!! So far so good. I'm hoping the problem's fixed now, which means the car might actually make it to Edition It'll also hopefully motivate to get my ass back in gear as I've had such little motivation for ages now.

Wow probably too much writing there ha, so to make it bit more interesting and because I like pictures, a photo of the offending throttle body...

My 1 litre has an epc light problem too, but the garage could never locate what it was because it wasnt storing a code. Could be something like this though.

Took my false floor out yesterday to recover and get rid of the cheap looking pink material but managed to mess up the fabric I was gonna put on So I thought while it was out I may as well get some trimming practice and decided to cover it in some other red I had lying around.

Now I'm not sure whether to just keep it this colour. I know it doesn't really match the colour of the leather, but I'm worried it'll end up just looking pink again with the brighter red I was going to use Any thoughts?!!

The picture's not great tbh and still kinda makes it look pink ha, will try and get a better one tomorrow. And maybe one with the colour I was going to use too for comparison. But for now...

I also decided to cover the plastic tailgate trim to tidy it up a bit. It's not exactly perfect, but it'll do until I can afford to get it done properly. And it was good practice anyway :)

Changed the ignition coil this morning too as one of the plastic bits where the lead connects had broken!

Yeah I think we're coming on Sunday, not sure if I'll be bringing the Polo though. Waiting on a part to come, so if it gets sorted by the weekend I'll bring it :)

As promised here's a picture of the boot with a cut off of the material I was originally gonna used before I fudged it up I know it's not a perfect match with the leather, but it's better than what's on the floor at the minute and my god it's hard trying to find a red that matches!

Any thoughts on whether I should get some more of the new red or just keep it as it is?

Also got these today, just need to get them repainted. I'll only be putting one on for the minute as my central locking's a bit tempremental so I don't really wanna risk delocking both sides just yet

lol, i'd have loved to put delocked handles on mine, but there were so many times when i came upto it and it randomly didnt want to work!

I have the same issue, most of the time it's fine but then every now and again it just decides not to wanna let me in

I wanna de lock both sides but I don't fancy having to break into the car haha, so just the passenger side will have to do for now!

yeah, i think they all do it. Passenger side should look shit hot though :)

It's hard trying to do stuff on a budget! Hoping to get a few little things done for next year anyway though, and get the whole car just tidied up a bit. And get to a few more shows too!

I think the new red trim, defs looks less pink.

Done a good job recovering it though.

Yeah there's always that risk factor with delocking both doors.

u can actually get the delock done on both doors

this sounds complicating i know:

firstly a lot of cars have a removable door keylock cover so this is a gd option I've seen a few cars like it and i think its great

secondly I'm not so sure if Volkswagen themselves do this sort of thing but i would say its worth a try

thirdly u might need a bodyshop again I'm not too sure

Hmm well I know on Lupo's you can just get the cover type thing to de lock them. Well I think so anyway Which are pretty easy to get off if you ever need to use the lock in an emergency, but I don't think it's possible on Polo's due to the design of the handles.

Rainbow's finally went in today!

Finally got myself a LHD rear light and fitted it tonight. Looks a lot better and cleaner without the reverse light.
