Read some were not to buy a gti that doesn't have xenons as its likely to have a front ender.

so was just wonddering how can u tell between xenons and other euqivalents?

xenons are bastard bright!

if a gti doesnt have xenons it is very likely to have had a crash as they were a standard feature. The xenon headlamps have a seperate darker larger circular bulb compared with a standard light that looks virtually the same all the way across. All gti's should also come with headlamp washers on the front bumper if they are not present it is another sign that it may have been in a crash. I have included a photo showing a xenon light with headlamp washer which is what all gti's should look like.
