5w-40 fully synthetic :-)

Personally I'm using 10-40 Semi Synth Mobile 1 S.

10w-40 semi synthetic with regular changes will be ok, the better quality choice is for a 5w-40 synthetic such as these http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

cheers guys,

i dont know why it has used so much recently.

i have been checkign the drive for leaks and i cant find anything.

why would it be burning oil all of a sudden?

i have fitted a straight through centre section recently,

would this be the problem? should i reset the ecu?

cheers

dont findle with ecu, unless you have maping eqipment and u are confident, could loss every thing off it and shouldent have 2 do any thing to ecu. the centre section shouldent make it leak or burn engine oil. the oil prusure switch went on mine and lost oil though it. its located on the back of the block with a single wire 2 it should have a ruber sleve on it just pull it back and see if its dry. if it is that only cost about £1.50.maybe worth a look

if its buring it could be these things

does it have blue smoke when u start it up in the moring, then clears after a while? if so could be stem seals gone.

does it have blue smoke out of the back when u lift off 4 a bit then put you are foot down hard? if so could be piston rings. ( mines going on cylender 1 uses about 0.2l month)

this may sound silly but could be head gasket cuz the oil still passes though there to get to the head.

i dn if this is any help 2 u but never know.
