wha year car did this cum off? cause my engine code is aee, but my gearbox code is dxe?

The gearbox code on this one is DCC and yes its from an early 1996/97 1.6CL - with the early rod style

Yep - should fit any 1.6 AEE - just check to makesure its the earlier style linkage - hence my situation, I didnt!

I take it your car is the one in the Pic on your Avatar? You will definately have the earlier style linkage - the later boxes started appearing in early 1997.

I can take a picture of the 3 differences in the casing if you want? One has 2 13mm threaded screws on the side for the cable change to fit (later style) the early ones dont have these - the earlier one has 1 rod & 1 cable - the later ones have 2 cables.

Like I said - this gearbox is untested - but it was bought off this forum as a working box! Code on it is DCC. Think a clutch kit is only like £60 or so on ebay!

ok thanks for that, if i was to buy it it would just be the courier. I've been on a few sites but they need a size and wieght ect for a qoute which i dont have lol

do you have a rough idea how much it would be?

This cost me £50 to have it shipped upto me and it was with Parcelforce. it weights about 40kg or so!

How many miles has it done. is it in good condition

Hey Sean - this is your old gearbox! How much did it cost you to send it to me? And how much did it weigh?? need to find out how much the corier is going to be.

i paid £100 inc postage for it to Sean for this box - would just like my £££ back! :)

cant remember what weight i put it down as, probs only about 30kg....try using interparcel.com they go through tnt and are really good priced but its also based on size so itd be easier if you input the data.

think it was about £40ish
