top tip from me find a nice red roadworks cone and put the wheel on that so as your painting u can spin the wheel to get in all the bits :-D

My dad and I decided to crack on with the wheels tonight. He thinks they'll look better fully polished, so promptly lashed nitromors all over his.

I meanwhile decided to take the paint just off the dish.

here's how I got on.

Then 1200 to finish and some autosol

i've seen them done with diamond cut lips and painted centres but full polish will look crackers!

are the outer centres metal or plastic?

and the badges...is one in good nick? maybe get DK to see if he can make you some up from an original

outer centres are alloy, will polish the same as the rim.

I think i'll be doing fully polished, like my tt comps were :)

sweet baby jesus....the arches on that car are rather special tho so should be ok...maybe get some machined off the fronts if i ran them on mine based on current wheel setup they would sit out extra 37mm up front and 27mm

:) they're starting to come together!

Ground down the lip, because I didn't like the look of it, so wanted a smooth rim

Worked some paper over the lip afterwards and finished off with a quick polish to see if it's going to be worth the effort.

Now i've lashed a final layer of nitromors on overnight to help losen up the bits of paint between the spokes and this rim should be finished by tomorrow night.

Opinions?
