Golf MK2 Country Syncro!

Featured Replies

saw it on sale on ebay, never heard of a mk2 golf GTI syncro! it looks really weird but in a good way! I would love to stick some chunky tyres on it and go off-roading with the T25 Syncro crowd to see if it keeps up!...

Saw a red one the other day - countrys FTW!

Be good to get one of them, slam it and put some decent power through it :). 4x4 drivetrain...

I bet it never cost 3500 euros to buy in Holland...

slam it?    talk about missing the point!

Why not just buy a normal golf synchro if you want a 4wd golf.

If i had £3495 to blow on a 4X4 this would be the one! I would love the novelty of owning this, it would get some attention at BVF lol.

daft thing is I bet it works better off road than half these "soft-roaders" people pay silly money for these days, it actually has ground clearance.

I didn't know there was another golf of that age with 4wd :p.

yeah normal mk2 golf synchros are about, some with just 1.8 engines in. Then there's also a g60 synchro. Fairly rare but no where near as rare as golf countrys

There is a red one in the unit next to mine, in cleckheaton

The one I saw was on baildon moor could have been the same one, haven't seen it over here before.

If theres on 5 in uk there is a good chance, the dude sells lights and shit at car shows, its called bolt on bits i think

the only problem with them is, that the engine and gearbox actually sit at a height not that different from a normal mk2
