i got given a Alpine ida-x300

put it in and powered up thought yer this is wicked ... turned it up coz i needed to set up my sub and shit..

finally got the sub to work after bout an hour of fiddleing but i cant for the life of me get the front speakers to work ..

i plug my old unit bck in ...and it all works pukka :)

plug in the new one again and nothing...

this is really bugging me ...

its prob summin so simple ... but it annoying the hell out of me.

Please help lol

this is the head unit .

if anyone can help ... or know where i can get a PDF file of the manual for this unit .. i would be truly grateful :)

Are you using the same plug for both headunits? If so, may sound stupid but on the settings on the acutal headunit is the balance going to the front too? If it's a different plug, make sure all the pins are there

Checked your fader settings?

Had this in the Scirocco, 2 weeks of shit sound quality, then I found the setting to actually use the back speakers as well.

what should i set it to ...

Just tried swapping the plugs over from my other unit .. but no joy ... seems to be nothing but interferance .. like the unit is muted or summin ??

these units have the facility to turn off the internal amp

read the manual it will be listed as I/C

you could also try pressing the small reset button with a pen

dont have the manual ... you know where i can get a pdf version ?

and it does say ... internal mute or summin in one of the settings but thts set to no. or off can member which.
