I own a polo 6n 97 and my car is very hard, I mean that every bump I drive on is not absorbed well.

I thought that replacing the struts will make my car soft so I have replaced 4 new monroe struts and all new strut mounts also, But all that did not help at all and my car is still very rough on bumpes.

So how come it didn't help? and what should I do next to soften my car?

get some 13s with big tires and run them at 28 ish psi

what do you mean big tires?

my tires are already 13 (175/65R13),

and I am going to lower the air pressure, but just lowering the air pressure (from 33PSI) will probably not make a big difference, right?

the only other thing i can recomend is removing the anti rol bar , if u want comfert tho buy a french car

Is it lowered? if so then it cant really be helped.

Or your shocks have had it and need replacing

some TAtechnix coilovers will do the trick mate. :p

Or Contact your local council and get them to repair the roads because with the ballon tyres that you have on and the suspension you have replaced the roads must be crap if you still feel bumps.lol

buy a saab or a volvo mate if you want a car thats comfy. :)

yes my friend our roads are crap, not alot I can do about that here..

The thing is that my car is really stiff, even my friends mazda lantis 2000 is MUCH more soft than my car, it makes me go crazy lol!

it will be crap on handling as at a standard ride hit it will make it handle like a boat. Its different when a car is decked an the anti roll bar is removed as the centre of gravity is much lower, but at a standard height i wouldn't recommend it. its there for a purpose. :)

What about a large bean bag on your seat :)

Coilovers are really too expensive here, Also I have already replaced the struts and my car is pretty old so it does not really worth to spend so much on it.

Yes the strut mounts are on top of the strut:

u got valver seats , get some cl ones or a cushen

what spec level nis you are car ie , L , GL , CL , GLX , ?

I really don't know, Never thought polo has these levels.

Its a manual polo 1.6 AEE engine and I have ABS, 2 Air Bags and power steering, says anything?

are you are seats black weth a patarn down the middle ?

The seats are exactly like that, so I guess it's a polo L or CL?

so this picture (I found at google pictures) looks really ugly- does not have a passenger air bag and it's steering is at the right, mine has ABS, 2 air bags etc.. but has the L seats.

Anyway, at my country we have ONLY this level (like mine) for polo's, There are no levels for this car here, and steering wheels are at the left, so it's not possible to get any cl seats in here

Unfortunately, if youve tried everything else, like replacing shocks theres not alot more you can do!.

Coilovers wont solve the problem, there sports kits, will make it much worse!

I've driven 4 standard 6n Polos in my time and always found the suspension more than adequate for a car of its class.

If you want a smooth flawless ride, buy a Rolls Royce.

when I drive I feel like the suspension does not do it's job well, it does work but looks like it does not contract enough.

well if they look ok there fine, before i put uprated springs and shocks on my mk3..the rear springs were in two bits!

No wonder it was a shocking ride
