I've come across some nice MG alloys for a good price.

They're 4x100 so no worries there, but their centre bore is 56.1mm, an irritating 1.0mm less than vw's!

Would it be possible to get an engineer/fabricator to bore the centres out by 1mm? would this be expensive?

Would it compromise the wheels' structural integrity?

Yeah you could or you could do it yourself with a bit of sand paper. Can't be to hard to take 1mm off some alloy as its quite soft anyway.

Yep as said above can do it with some sandpaper.

Remember it's 1mm in diametre, so that's technically only 0.5mm you need to sand all round.

Just taking the paint off the alloy will probably allow it to fit.

I did this on some BMW mini rims, what you need is a flap wheel that goes into your drill takes minutes and a torque wrench (see eBay great investment) so that if there not quite exact it doesn't matter they won't move coz there torques up properly! Good luck!
