Nah, most of them didn't stop long enough, I used to buy and sell a bit. Think the long term (ie more than a month) on the road cars have been:

Fiat Panda, had it at uni when I just wasn't bothered about cars

A reg bready, didn't give a crap about it, then it died and I realsied I actually like Polos

Top ball joint failed at 65mph and this happened...

Bought a MG metro, lots of problems with it but it got me about, cost a fair bit to drive due to the fuel tank leaking, and eventully got scraped when i got the beetle running.

even tho is was it was a pile a shit it got broken into twice in attempts to steal it

So i bought my polo for £50 :-D

and somewhere in the middle off the beetle running i got a fastback shell free which ended up getting sold when both garages got full

All in 3 years, only been driving a year n a half

Got the lupo when i was 16, but got bored after a couple of months of passing and sold it in December.

Was a 1.4 16v, lowered on RX2, 3L front end, black roof and mirrors gti spoiler etc.....

3 Days later I bought this Polo 1.4 16v. Really like it, but just waiting on my parts to arrive:
