Without problems? I had 14's and still got beached on big speedbumps and clipped them with my splitter..

Low and problem-free dont really got hand in hand, its all about dedication

120mm coilovers wound all the way down. No scrubbing. Only scraps lol. if am giving it hell on a back road. (haven't even bothered attempting speed bumps )

ahryt the coilovers i want is 120mm max. and i dont care about speed bumps i wont go near them. whats the max u can go at the front and is 120 fine at the back or does it wear the tires down alot.

Thats mine on the last thread on the 120mm coilovers. Front and back. I haven't had more than one passenger in the car since i fitted mine. coz i know if i had 3 people in the back it would scrape like hell. :) but all the way down is fine mate and the fronts dont catch either. :)

ahryt ok thanks alot i thought if the front was more than 80mm it would be bad. but if i can go 120mm all round then thats great as my mates 6n2 is 82mm at the back and finks he can beat me so I'm going alot lower. fanks again my confidence has just hit the roof lol.

The fronts never seen to be a problem, i had TA Technix coilies from PhilJ, at the lowest setting on the front, and never had to raise them.. i ran 8x14 with 195/45, 7x13 with 175/50, 7x15 with 195/45 and 5.5x13 with 185/60.

The rear i had to adjust all the time for different wheels, and when i had the sub box or passengers in the back..

can you actually lower 120mm ?

i swear the standrd ride height for the mk4 is like 12 or 13cm aint it lol

youd have no road clearance at all lol

TA's go 100mm down with the helpers still in..

you'd be pushing it 120mm down with most wheel sizes..

it is near impossible to go down an actual 120mm without a chassis notch. I have 0-120mm coilovers wound all the way down. but i bet if i measured the distance it would be less. thats why on my post about its says "all the way down" or "thats mine on the last thread on the 120mm coilovers". as i know myself that my car isn't lower an actual 120mm form standard height. but it is all the way down on coilovers that claim to be 120mm. :)

If you understand what i mean, sounds strange when i read it back to myself but i know what i mean. lol

A car has to be low man, you just adapt your driving to suit, like know the bumps/holes in roads, be wary of speedbumps (I found that going over them diagonally helps) and watch the kerbs at Maccy D's!

I know exactly what you mean dude, i never measured mine at the back as i was constantly adjusting them so they just about allowed the wheels at the time, there's no point talking in exact MM's, just fit the wheels and lower til you're happy

I'm all the way down on TA's, can have a full car and its fine, nothing rubs. wel, very slite rubbing at the front on full lock, doesnt realy matter tho.

Or on roads that haven't been finished, i.e tar'd as the road is lower so the curbs are just under 3 times the size of a normal curb. Tis a pain in the hoop when i visit my brother as he lives in a brand new house where the road hasn't been finished so everytime am over there i have to get him to move his m3 off his drive so i can park. otherwise i would have to park about a doors length away from the curb, just so i wouldn't hit my door lol :)

ahryt so u can just wound the coilovers the full 120mm when fitting and itl be fine. coz i dont want to rub my tires or have the chassis scrubb. but if you are cars are fine then mine should be. as long as its passed 90mm il be happy. but how much ruffly do u think they are. and do 14 fit in the arches fine.

i would guess about 110 front and about 100 rear on my car. Just a guess. And in that pic am running 14" rims with big tyres. Now running 15" artec carrea style rims with lower profile tyres to make them the smae height as my 14" and it is just the same :)

mine was all the way down when i fitted collies,on 14z too,but had to many issues with speed bumps and passengers

I'm still low so cant ignore the bumps,just dont have to avoid them as much,i used to throw a 3 point turn on the sight of a speed bump

now were on speaking terms

No problem dude, But as says a above "just a guess" and i have cleared up about it being all the way down on the "Claimed" to be 120mm Coilovers. :)

Anyways we all just love the lows eh?
