lowest polo 6n.

Featured Replies

My valver I measured to be down 100mm at the front and 95mm at the back.

That was with the helpers out at the front and half an inch of thread left, the rears were an inch from the bottom with the helpers in.

On a completely standard valver you can go 120mm down, but you will have no ground clearance.

On a normal 6n you can go 120mm down and have 10mm ground clearance, it would fully be the worst ride in the world though and you wouldn't be going anywhere quick.

Was the ride much worse without the helpers in?

my cuz is dropped to the bottom off the coilovers which is claimed to be 120mm he is runnind 15x7 ats cups with 165/50/15 tyres good stretch sits with a bit of tyre on inside of arch and goes fine with 2 peple in just have to watch with 3 in. and i run 80mm down on the rear and 90mm down on the front with 15x7 ats cups with 195/45/15 tyres scrapes with just me in wen I'm giving it some and scrapes a little bit more with 2 people in plus i have no rear seats just a massive sound system that takes the whole rear up including 2 15" subs that weigh in at over 400oz. but i can handle the scrapping just turn the sterio up a little bit more haha

The helpers don't effect the ride at all as they are fully compressed when the weight of the car is on them, all they are good for is keeping the spring seated tight when the car is jacked up.

mines a standard 6n so I'm glad itl go 120mm and i dont care about road clearence aslong as its low I'm happy its a 1.4 8v so not fast anyway

i dont care about road clearence

Dont speak to soon mate

wont go 120mm without a chassis notch.

OLOP 1L...why have you got my username in under you username haha

yer as people have said, it claims to be 120mm but its not, iv left everything in, wound all the way down back and front, on 13x6 with standard 185/60 tyres, don't scrub at all, tiny bit on the shafts though.

i wouldnt mind the chassis hotch but aslong as its not to much. i just want it low. and hofally give her an engine conversion.

Could i put 15" alloys on my polo.. lower the car all around by 50mm and still have 5 people in the car no problem?

depends on width+offset+tyre size but chances are unless they're wide wheels, yes.

probelms? the onlny problems you get is if you go down the wrong road, speedbumps ect, but you can always just turn around/reverse, wind them all the way down, remove helper springs, stick it on 13's with ultra low profiles. and get some slimmed mounts. job's a good'un.

rubbing problems I think he meant.

ar ethe ultra low profile tires real expensive as I've low profile on mine atm on 14s. but wont be lowering it until i pass my test. which hofally will be next monday. cant wait.

HMMMM all this talk, yet no PHOTOS to prove!

Lets get some decent poLOW pics up to do this thread some justice!

yea thats a good idea I've only seen a couple of low polos and I'm hoping to c more.

any arch work done?

what et are they mate? i have a set of 13 x8s on the way

I had 13 by 8's on mine dropped 120mm at front an 100 at the back. Used it as my daily for some time like that its fine to drive about just gotta keep your witts about you looking out for potholes and objects in the road. Looks sick while your driving!!

nah no arch work, get a bit of rub on full lock, but as above, just need to keep your wits about you and look for any sudden raises in the road height, potholes, lowered drain covers and just general sudden unlevelness in the road and slow down!

but yeah in my opinion low as fubar and small wheels is the sickest look you can go for

just done some measuring and the helper spring fully compressed and the width of the alloy spacer that also comes off with them is 35mm. so if the 120mm drop that they claim to have is like some one mentioned above (measured without the helpers) then that would mean that people claiming to be running 120mm with the helpers still in are actually only at 85mm

why is there a 10mm difference between the valver and the standard 6n? :?

You don't know low until you've seen WhittyBoy_VW's 6N.

I saw it on the motorway last week and it put my ride height to shame.... I'm not exactly riding at 4 x 4 height!

120mm coilovers wound all the way down. No scrubbing. Only scraps lol. if am giving it hell on a back road. (haven't even bothered attempting speed bumps :D )

No matter what you say that is not 120mm down. The tyres aren't even in the arches!
