Yeah definatley got the bad end of the deal, also discovered that at some point someones filled over the rot on the sill at 1 side, which is another piece i need to sort :( and in fairness if i hadn't forgot to tighten the crank bolt i wouldn't have needed to do half as much :p also had to have a new clutch since the pressure plate had gone :/

and as for rattle cans, i used 13 when i did the pink, 14 when it was orange. Its quick, easy and more importantly fun, plus theres the great side of being able to change the look of the car completely for 60 quid :)

Ermm Its been de-catted, and was apparently mapped by the last owner although i have no proof of the mapping, just that he told me he'd done it at work, and it had a mapping company sticker on it.

And I'm running V power 99 octane, i always run on it, just find it runs better. other than that no other performance mods, standard exhaust, standard airbox, standard manifold etc.

The filler on teh sill was me! dont take it out haha , as theres a few holes under it , but i did a proper'ish job lol theres fiberglass and filler there.

Also about teh remap , it 100% has had a remap! can get you proof if you like?

And yeah on the map side I'm sure thats whats kept it above 100 bhp after so many miles, not bad for that and a de-cat. On the mapping side of things jake how much further can it go? is it mapped to its limits or can any more be eeked out of it?

Mate , mapping wise you cant do anything! apart from, a piggy back but there rare and expensive and (not really worth it) and the rev limiter was higherd to 7,300 i think (cant rember exactly) so tryyyy not to take it to high because it will go there!

Nah i didnt laquer the car but I'm assuming you could if you wanted to

And no you cant see any lines in the paint aslong as you give it a nice even coat, think theres one spot on mine where you can see it at night under streetlamps sometimes.

just ordered some monster paint, did you use 14 of the 400ml cans? what spray caps did you use? the standard ones? cause they sell all sorts

Looks alright that :)..as for paint I would recommend Montana 94s over Monster colours. They cost a bit more but you could do a car with less cans (I would say 7-8 tops) and the finish is much more even. I did 2 sides of an LDV van with murals and it didn't take much as you only need 1-2 coats to cover it, and it's low pressure so doesn't run as easily.

What colour next then?

i wish i had used the fat caps mate because the standard ones are poop lol, and monster are bringin out 50 new colours in a few weeks, do you get funny reactions offf people, i get plenty :lol:
