Around the 5k mark in terms of mods.

Well the AFH Conversion cost me £1100 in parts

and then

The GT conversion prob arround £500

SS exhaust system and manifold £400

Wheels and tyres £400

And I'm about to spend another £3000 on it... so not much really....

£11.5k, £1400 of which was to buy the car, the rest was on parts as labour is free (done by myself)

Olly

1200 on the car

I'm losing track how much I'm spending on the car an I'm nowhere near where i want the car to be.

Probly spent around 1500 an still loads to come retrims, bodywork.. donations?

EDIT: Thats all in 5months

I've got no regrets with how much I've spent on mine. Even though performance-wise it's bog standard it's a great car that (very rarely) lets me down.

Whenever I think about how much gets spent on parts/mods I remember that I've not spent a penny on labour for any of it, otherwise it would probably be double!

to be fair, all old cars will cost you money, and totting up figures especially when you take into account servicables, fuel and insurance do rack up. but imagine with a 5 year old car, something goes wrong and it cost a grand to replace, instead of a local bargain at your scrappy and a couple of evenings up the unit.

petrol costs i never worry about, its just a fact of life, same with food and i already eat too much, but fuck it thats what we work for

and its only the back arch that wants doing, along with the bottom of the doors, so it wont be a grand, mate of mines dad says he can do my archs to primer stage for 40 pound :)
