so if K-Jet is post 87, Big bumper model's were released in 89. So Most big bumpers are not K-Jet?

Also rich's points, they got rid of K-Jet for a reason, and the K-Jet has less weight to carry around with it, making it seem better than it actully was...?

They got rid of K-Jet because Digifant is more economic. The early Digi cars (87, 88 and 89) have the same kerb weight as the K-Jet cars but they're just not as responsive. The Digi ECU is a bit lame, you get Digi lag and it leans out horribly at the top. The K-Jet cars aren't loads faster (VW quote the same times) but people who have owned both agree that the K-Jet is more responsive when both cars are in a similar state of tune and feel quicker. Once you get inot the realms of the big bumper cars the difference becomes more apparent due to the extra weight.

The main advantage of Digi is they have a knock sensor so can alter the timing depending on fuel grade whereas a K-Jet car requires timing up on the furl you use (Mine is timed to run on 99 Octane as that's all it ever gets.)

Rich: I love the way ABF's look proper factory when fitted like that. They're OK in Digi as they use Digifant II which is much better that Digifant I used in 8v MKII's.
