Just a quick feeler really as I'm running low on cash and an expanding family calls for a more suitable car!

1987 Caddy - 10 Months MOT (very few advisories, just silly things like bulbs, wipers & washers) - 12 Months tax (£195)

It was a 1.6d with 107k on the clock (same on chassis) with a four speed box however i've just fitted a 1.9 Turbo D engine AAZ, fully rebuilt 1,000 miles ago with receipts to prove. Refurbed 5 speed MK1 Golf box. Running standard boost & fueling at the minute but with correct modification and not too much money spent these will see the best part of 300Bhp. Currently around 80Bhp we think, keeps up with valvers to about 70.

Brand new coilies, flipped rear axle/leaf springs with 1.5" lowering blocks.

Multi coloured ATS Cups. 15x6 i think, will double check.

MK1 polo front bumper, custom fitted never seen another one.

Smooth front wings and n/s/f mirror smoothed, o/s/f mirror smoothed and relocated forward.

pulled and rolled arches. new exhaust system, new windscreen TOP TINT!!!!.

brand new lower arms, refurbed beam, gti disks & pads + rear shoes and wheel cylinder. new brake pipes on the rear.

custom rear roll pan made of stainless steel and loads of other bits and pieces.

not sure what price to put it at...£1650ono? Taking into account i have receipts for double that in the last 4 months!

valver? is the white on the car in goo condition?

The paintwork isn't perfect. It's certainly not a show winner at the moment.

It's a rattle-can in a shed job, a flat white which is a fairly thin. does look lovely when clean though.

The N/S/R has some waves in a swage line from where the heat from welding (having arches done) has distorted the metal.

The rest is lovely and straight, a few little surface dustings of rust but have left them for the "natural rat look" hasn't eaten into the body and is only cosmetic.

I can assure you there is no structural rust, she has been welded. yes. Along the sills (N/S) but the underside is mint. especially with all the renewed running gear.

I invite anyone to come and take a look at her. Definatly a marmite motor.

Interested in anything, going to be doing a lot of motorway milage as my other half is going to be 6 hours away for the next 4 years :( so need something with low mileage preferably. Coilovers are a win. not looking for anything fancy!

Hi jonny, thanks for your interest, i have looked through your posts and noticed you have an issue with it running etc. I'm not really looking to take on a another project and aren't really a fan of the VW cosmic green anyway.

The wheels are still on the caddy, i'm not interested in selling them yet as i'd really like to keep them for myself (which i will reflect in the selling price if the seller isn't fussed about them)

Caddy update, N/S CV boot (outer) was split....replaced entire driveshaft and both joints (with boots) as the CV joints on caddy can often cause trouble.

valver and straight swap and i dont need the wheels? cosmic green on ats cups highsport coilies chipped re-mapped and has a cda running 115bhp with printout to prove!

Still here, want rid of her again now as this months pay cheque really isn't gonna make ends meet!

It's still exactly the same, gonna pull it apart and fix it next week unless you want it.

Really looking for something with T&T though, sort the issues and stick a MOT on it and i'd snap it off your hands.
