For sale is the Sony 6 CD In-Dash changer

This includes all the wiring and the loom from the changer to headunit, works with both Beta and Gamma headunits.

In mint full working condition.

I will also include a fully working Beta headunit for free (if you don't want it i will just throw it away as i have no use for it).

These seem to go for about £130 without postage on ebay so i'm putting this up at £120inc postage.

I am looking to add a CD player to my 6N2. I currently have the factory fitted radio/cassette with a gaping cubby hole beneath. I am unable to view your pics on my browser...are you selling an official VW CD changer and headunit (I did not know they were manufactured by Sony)? Will it fit the 6N2 (X-Reg 2000)? Will it fit in the cubby hole below my radio/casette headunit with ease or will I require keys and extra connections?

Gamma headunits were actually made by phillips, sony and blaupunkt for some reason.

since I'm hijacking with random info, It'll fit the X reg, it will fit the cubby hole and it'll literally plug and play. He is selling both the changer and unit, helps to read the ad.

My only suggestion would be that if you're running rear speakers in the car you may have a Gamma one rather than a Beta, use that instead of this one.

Thanks Rich! I wasn't questioning whether he was selling the changer and headunit, I was quesitoning whether both are official VW parts (my browser at work will not load the pictures!).

Sorry for the question but I do not have a clue about ICE. My car has the standard factory fitted speakers. Would I be best to install the CD changer below my current Radio/Cassete or replace the headunit as well (Gamma and Beta means nothing to me lol)?

Does the CD Player or Headunit have a AUX connection so I can plug in my iPhone and play music? I presume I would need an aftermarket unit for such functions but worth asking :-D

the beta is a two channel radio, it only works front speakers.

The gamma is a four channel, does fronts and rears.

You can use a specialist wire in the back of the VW headunit for playing an ipod, you can find them on the bay.

Not sure if you can at the same time as a cd changer though.

it'll fit in below your existing headunit, you need the keys to put it in as you'll have to pull the headunit out to put the wire in. You can without but it's an absolute chew on for what is essentially two seconds with the keys. (you can get them at halfrauds)

Cheers Rich! Do you have any further information on the 'special wires' that allow iPhone connectivity e.g. A recommended cable? How much should I pay? Have you see one installed? Your thoughts?

noway is this a cd changer you can keept at the fornt. i have an alpine headunit.would i be able to use these together and all speakers etc will work because I'm a little confused now
