Volkswagen Polo GTI

Featured Replies

Hi,

Here for sale is my VW Polo GTi. I have owned this for the last 8 months and has been one of the most fun cars to drive that I've owned but I'm turning 21 and so am looking to upgrade to an Ibiza Cupra R.

The car has a very high specification from the factory:

* Flash Red - only 500 made

* 1.6 16v 125bhp

* BBS RX 15" Split rim wheels

* Xenon Headlights

* Black Heated Leather - Very rare

* Climate control

* 6 Disc CD Changer

* Remote Central Locking

* Thatcham Cat 2 Alarm as standard

* 6 months Tax

* 4 months MOT

The car also has a few minor modifications:

* 280mm front brake upgrade (256mm standard)

* Front and rear black VW badges

* Colour coded front splitter

* Upgraded headlight bulbs to match the colour of the Xenon headlights

* BMC Panel filter and Pipercross cold air feed

The car is currently on 80,500m (will increase slightly as is being used) and has been very well maintained and has FSH with a folder full of receipts over the years for services and parts its had. The service book is also fully stamped. I've done the following in the time that I've had it:

* Brembo 280mm Discs and Ferodo Pads fitted - 79614m - 08/12/09

* Full Service - 79819m - 06/12/09

* Recon Gearbox and Clutch 79000m - 20/10/09

* NSF Wheel bearing and hub with tracking done afterwards - 78024m - 05/09/09

* 2 x Toyo Proxies - 16/09/09

As many will know the GTi's are very common for gearbox problems. This has recently been done and the gearbox was replaced with a reconditioned gearbox and has a warranty until 20/10/10. The clutch was also fitted at the same time and comes with 2 years warranty. The car has recently had a full service including spark plugs, VW Oil filter, VW Synta Oil. The air filter was cleaned but never needs replacing being a BMC filter (this is not loud being in the standard airbox but enhances the fantastic GTi sound. I still have the standard feed to the airbox if you want it to be standard. ) This service was carried out by myself and I have all receipts to prove. The book isn't stamped for this one as it is now full. It had a new wheel bearing and hub fitted on the passenger side front. The front brakes were also upgraded to 280mm using Brembo vented discs and Ferodo pads. The rear pads need replacing which I have EBC pads for just haven't had chance to do it due to the weather.

I also have a folder full of previous history, important parts being as follows:

* Cambelt, tensioners and water pump 02/11/07 - 52824m

* Fan and Sensor 20/11/07 - 53340m

* Pedalbox Recall carried out - 26/04/05 - 31368m

Servicing:

* 03/06/09 - 75217m

* 27/03/09 - 71403m

* 07/11/08 - 61725m

* 02/11/07 - 52824m

* 19/04/06 - 37660m

* 26/04/05 - 31368m

* 24/01/04 - 26720m

* 04/06/03 - 17877m

* 20/07/02 - 11533m

* 01/08/01 - 7488m

* 01/08/00 - Delivery Inspection

The car is in excellent condition and in what I think is the best colour for the GTi. In line with its age it does have a few marks and scratches but nothing major. Theres a few bits of laquer peel on the driver's door handle, boot handle and rub strip which is a common VW problem. The interior looks fantastic with its black heated leather which is a very expensive option and rare to find. Everything on the interior is standard with the VW Gamma headunit and 6 disc CD changer and GTi leather gear knob and steering wheel. It also has Climate control fitted which looks far more upmarket inside. It has a very nice interior for a small car. Currently the heated seats aren't working which I think is only something simple as they were fine.

Overall this is an excellent car which has been very well maintained and looked after. If there's anything I have missed feel free to email me or text me on 07825524674. I can send pictures as cannot upload them at the minute.

£3000

Cheers Tom

Hi,

I would deliver as long as it's not too far. I would need a deposit to cover the cost of fuel so it's not at my expense. Please drop me a PM if you would like any more info.

Cheers
