I am fine mate although work is killing me... Have you killed the polo mate? Seems like you opened a little hole in the third piston .

yeah a hole opened up on the 3rd piston, I'm not entirely sure how it happened, first suspisions were a dropped valve or two but took the head off and all is ok so abit confused now

only other damage than the 3rd piston is that it melted a spark plug, and there's some slight scoring on the 3rd cylinder bore

the polo is back on the road now though with a new AFH lump in it :)

have you still got the main bearing caps with the block? have you got a picture of the score marks??

is it the block that takes the chain driven oil pump or the later duocentric pump?

i have the head mate, 2 of the valves are ever so slighty tweeked though, was planning on keeping it and having some work done on it in a couple of months, make me an offer though and ill have a think,

only thermos housing i have is on the car and could do replacing itself lol

i have a spare AFH sump but was planning on keeping it as a spare just incase i need it, make me an offer though, may change my mind :)
