Just spent several hours trying to locate the whereabouts of a persistent sunroof leak.

After much testing and dismantling I tracked it down to the passenger sunroof drain tube, it had come adrift from wherever is it supposed to drain into.

The grey plastic drain tube runs down the side of the windscreen behind the trim piece. It then tucks behind the firewall somewhere presumably into a tube that end up outside the car. However mine had come loose and whenever I put a large syringe of water into the passenger side front drainhole of the sunroof the water ran down behind the sound deadening soaking the passenger side .... grrrrr.

The end the the grey tube is laser marked with some lines as though it is supposed to insert into presumably another tube to drain to the underside of the car.

It is currently draining into a large bottle inside the car.

Anyone seen this before or have a VW Workshop Manual that might show full diagram of drainage components. .... is there a pdf version available anywhere?

It doesnt say anything in the workshop manual all that shit consult a trained specialist or go to the main dealer
