a few pics of what i've done today

Featured Replies

in preparation for the RR day i've knocked together a straight through side exit for my jetta to get rid of the restrictive shit that they came with, seriously the standard pipe is like a mc donals strew...

this is the standard exhaust bowl before i got to work on it, a pitiful 1.5" diameter

and here's how it all look when i had finished

it needs a bit of adjustment to sit right which i'll do through the week but all in all i'm happy with it, sounds sweet and makes a massive difference performance wise too, and it only cost 40 pounds for the pipe and 4 quid for a couple of clamps, bargain :-D

a word of warning, i've turned the 'smoke' screw up as well so if you watch this on the rollers probably best not to stand on the passenger side

no idea mate my boost gauge only goes up to 1 bar (14.5 psi) but it's well over that. i've blocked off the blow off valve and disabled the actuator so the turbo just boosts up to its limit, they sell 30psi gauges in halfords so i'm gonna grab one of them in the week and find out what it's limit is

Aldon will be like a mini holocaust, with the jetta taking hitlers role :ninja:

hahah awsome... i think they get about 20psi possibly more...i did read someone was running 2bar...in their caddy..:/

still should be awsome...bet aldon will think they blow it up hahaha

rich from f6 used to run 30 psi daily in his caddy and 40 psi when he had it on the strip when he had his AAZ in it (ratty black caddy, ended up painted like the yellow police cars from mad max  )

i've just spent the last couple of hours adjusting the exhaust cause it was blowing hard from the 'bowl' and was filling the car with fumes, that's sorted now and i've just been out for my first proper blast since setting it up and its made a massive difference, so much more torque than it had before, not much smoke though so i'm guessing i can go a little further with the smoke screw

 epic skillzzzzzz

Hmmm..do i go RR day just to see this?
