My new Hearse

Featured Replies

Picked this up today from Luke

1993 Genesis 'heck, 1.3 spi 99k, 8 months MOT and taxed 'til end of April. It's pretty solid and tidy compared to my wreck of a GT! Paintwork is surprisingly unfaded for a red car of this age.

Headgasket is leaking so that is the first priority before I get insurance for her. Other plans include some of Hella's finest OEM modifications, 'rocco seats, 4 branch and straight thru exhaust to G40 backbox, new bonnet and bootlid and just have my own car again.

I have a decent GT engine that may make an appearance in the summer but for the time being I just wanna have something nice and reliable. Been using my brothers MK2 (in the background) and it's pretty uneconomical, i'm an injection boy at heart!

I may convert the AAV engine to GT injection when I do the headgasket, any advice on this would be appreciated. Would use the GT head with cam too and the 8p box so it's good on the motorway.

Better pics to follow after an OEM sesh tomorrow! What a fucking geek I am.

it's an AFRM. Air Fuel Ratio Meter ...

that looks a nice wee squareback martin  minty rocker cover!

once you get all your oem+ bits on an give it a right good clean it will look very nice i recon.

GT powers a good plan, lots of fun and not much trouble. red bumper strips?

the original CL 8P box is quite good in a GT i found so you could re use it to if u do more motorway miles.

Yeah, the 8P was the plan Rich, not only 'cos of the longer final drive in 5th and the fact that my GT box has a floppy gearstick in neutral.

Headlamp washers next week all being well too, along with my Hella grille and fogs
