Passed&1yr NCB; £550

Rob

my gf had a provisional with them, was paying around 700quid, as soon as she passed......wooooooshhh straight up to around 2 grand

1ltr

and yeah mine went up to 2300 in the end :( exspensive stuff

same here m8, dont worry your 2nd year will be less than half that!

plus you earn no claims from when you start having insurance, not when you pass your test!

I was on my 2nd year of provisional with Quinn and paying £45 a month, passed my test it went up to £125. Absolutely wank company imo.

a mate of mine payed like 900 quid on provisional, it went up to 1900 when he passed

I'm with quinn now on a provisinoal and I'm 17 paying £1175 on a 1.4 16v dohc 6n lol not sure about the increase of price if i pass on the 11th of feb =(

When i was with quinn i forgot to tell them that i had a full driving liscence after i had passed. Had a crash and told them that i had a full liscence. They still insured me but i think that might have been luck of the draw. Wouldnt recommend doing it tho lol.

one of my mates passed last week and he was on a provisional then passed.

all you do is ring them up and tell them you have passed

then they will do another quote and then they will take what you have already payed off that sum and you pay the difference if you get me

thats what he was sayin anyway

they told me it was an extra £2000 on top of the £900 I'd already payed for a year of provisional when I passed and for that I would only be insured for the remaining 8 months of the policy, I asked why the fuck it was that much when I could start a new policy with them for £2000 and be insured for a full year from the day I passed. I then read out some simple calculations showing that I should be paying around an extra £750 based on 4 months @ £900 p/a (£300) and 8 months @ £2000 p/a (£1333.33) the total cost being £1633.33. This confused the numpty call centre operator so I told her supervisor the same, he understood, eventually, but said it didn't work like that, I said I'd cancel the policy and go with the next best quote out of principle, so he agreed to meet me half way and waive the cancellation fee on the condition that I start a new policy with them. So I ended up getting £600 of my £900 refunded and started a new 12 month policy for £2000. Pricey I know, but that was the best I could get, postcode lottery ftl.

Just put in a fake date of birth on the online quote and put you've passed, same details etc. I know this won't give you any exact price by any means, but it gives you a rough idea.

When i had my 6n2, 1.4 60hp, provisional would of been £1100 (cheapest on net), fake date of birth, full license, £2100! Hello Churchill.

Apparently Quinn take ages to pay out, thats if they do at all but i've never used them- just what i heard.

mine went from 150 a month on my provisional to 450 a month when i passed it was in my moms name and on a fiesta st but still a hefty increase of like 3 grand over the year and then my 2nd year i insured a bmw 325i with them someone crashed into me and they sent their claim assesor to the wrong road and she processed the claim as my fault even though the other party admitted liability my car still isnt fixed and the policy with them ran out 7 months ago avoid completely if i were you

isnt really the case, my mate had his fiesta wrote off by quinn in december, he was payed out within 2 weeks, they payed his travel costs for him to get to college at 15 pounds per day for a month aswell

Thats exactly what it was for me on my 1.3 6n!

my mates when from 1000 to 2500 on a pug 106 1.1

i got a 1.0l on a provisonal it was £600 thrid party as soon as i past went to £2300 third party wen i told them i passed. so i cancelled that and went on compare the market and quinn was tryin to sell me another policy for £1600 and tha was still the cheapest i could find . how does that worrk so if you have a policy they will smash it out the roof but if you are to start a new policy it works out cheaper . dont make sense to me

my mate paid 500 odd provisional, then 2000 odd full license hes been quoted, on a punto 1.2

i got quoted 700 provisional, 4600 full license on a 1.4 polo 6n :(

Well, I didn't pay for any provisional insurance, but as soon as I passed I phoned up nearly every insurance company.

I ended up going with Quinn (third party, fire, and theft) on my 1.4L 6n. All for the lovely figure of £1524.

All in my own name too? I don't know why I got such a good quote?

So you never know, it may not go up by much!

quinn=sht imo lol

You guys must have awful post codes!

quinn take the piss when it comes to going from a provisional to a full, they wanted 900 quid more on top of 1900 for a 1.2 takes the piss, so i changed to direct line and got it for 1500 :)
