I done it on my 1.4.....to put the powersteering pump on you have to also have the bracket which holds on the alternator on as well. Power steering rack is easy, just have to drop the lower arms a bit.

Took me about 3-4hours. Worst bit was the Piping as its metal piping and not flexible so trying to run that right around the engine is a B***h lol

Cheers

How gay do you have to be to actually fit power steering to a shopping trolley?

got to admit I've had 6n's with and without and id prefer without!

You feel the road better without, well from my experience in my car.

i dont really think that you can feel the road less if you have power steering it just helps when you are doing slow monvers. I can feel every little stone on the road and i have ps. I have driven my mates micra with no ps and the only time i noticed was when we were going slow on the other hand i have driven my dads focus that had electric asesed steering or whatever it is called and you can not feel the road. the steering is so light and cut off. the power steering on a 6n is nothing and does not effect driving, i would much rather have it but i also would hate to have that electric shit they put in newer cars.

i can understand why u may want power steering as on my 6n it can be difficult in tight car parks and also pulling out of junctions is awkward steering enough with the pick up from first gear. but tbh at 50 mph + the steering gets pretty light and still gives some nice feel so i think it would be dependant on where you drive most as to weather the conversion is worth while
