Ok so today i finally got some primer on a wheel, i'm now very tempted to go for a satin finish of some sort now, so watch this space....

Using a tripod, take a picture like this

Then like this

Then cut out the engine bay, overlay it as a layer on the first pic and fiddle with the opacity til its transparent

The wheels look good. They're not something I'd go for myself but they work really well for the look you're going for. I look forward to seeing them finished :)

Today & tomorrow are dedicated to nowt but wheels! So plenty of pics to come...

I started filling the damaged rims this morning

Hopefully my paint should arrive tomorrow, then i can get them built up!

personally i'd've took the valves out, might not be too late tho, seeing as you've not put paint down yet.

I'd also advise against a matt/satin finish. I much prefer high lacquered finish to wheels, plus it's easier to clean! :)

Meh too late! I cant figure out how to get the valves out either...
