Just gotta work out how best to clamp it for the tigerseal

paint looks abit flat in the pic.

Sand it back with a very fine grade then polish ;)

Its just a rubbish camera , it looks alright in the flesh

I may re- lacquer it once its on solid just to be on the safe side

My ingenious spoiler-retention system, pat pend:

Bit shinier there, no worse than the rest of the paint!

Spoiler fitting didn't turn out so well... :(

Drove to town absolutely fine, duel carriageway 70 *ahem* miles per hour no problem

Then went into tescos, came back to the car and the spoiler had detatched itself! The girl in the clio next to me said it just fell off, so thank god it did it while stationary. I reckon i didn't get an even enough pressure using the bricks to weight it down

Unfortunately it now needs to be resprayed and re stuck on!

Will have to wait until next weekend though, i'll take the bootlid off and clamp it properly.

As they say, do it right or do it twice! :retard:

Booked the new windscreen fitting - 30th of march :(

£75 out of pocket to boot.

Oh well, things'll soon pick up, HIDs and springs next month hopefully

dont get springs mate. waste of money. budget coilovers all the way if you want to keep costs down and have adjustable lows!

  • Author

What do you reckon the cheapest set i'd be able to land would be?

£165 raceland coilovers from ebay are the cheapest but not heard any reviews..your next bet is the JOM for £210 from ebay aswell which I've heard quite good reviews about

What do you reckon the cheapest set i'd be able to land would be?

JOM or TA-TECHNIX

range from 180-200 big ones !

pm philj for ta's he got me mine and i love him foir it !

this is mine on them...

Picture515.jpg

and i will go lower and i did have it lower but got annoyed at having to drive sensibly

some ride comfort is lost but it is still very good and dosent scrape on mine even with a car full

and there very easy to adjust !

I bought all the bits separately on ebay, came to about £80 for the sub/amp etc. I did the parcel shelf ones separately

I'd never get TA coilovers. there cheap for a reason, there crap.

Rubbish ride and generally not good quality coilovers.

Save abit more and get some AP's weitecs or even FK's

If there's one thing I wouldn't do on the cheap it's suspension.

Buy some FK Highsports. Don't go for the TA Technix.

spoilerfitting.jpg

Is that an R32 logo?

I had TA Technix on my Lupo and they weren't that bad, what you'd expect for the price though I guess. Never had any major problems with them

But I definitely prefer my FK's, so if you can afford to pay a bit extra then do it

Its just an R Line badge from ebay

Raceland coilies any good? I've seen a cheap set or two kicking about

i have a set of JOMs about to go on as soon as i get some mid week freetime, will let u no if they're any good, they are a rite bargain at £210 delivered, i didnt see the point of spending too much as now have plans to get a mk5 golf once I've got another years NCB.

btw not too sure about the eibach decals especially as there is a lack of eibach in the suspension, would keep it clean myself, but each to his own

True that, the eibach stickers were to keep my inner chav happy  i was originally gonna be getting an eibach kit but the sale never went through

Fitted some extra boot lighting today due to the existing lights never working

I used some LED drawer lights that are magnet-sensitive, so when they're moved away from the magnet, they come on:

I decided to put a tailgate light on too, since the one on my old man's beemer seems so useful
