Not that i'm aware of, i know a few dubbers in dorch but my main local scene is poole tbh. There's southern show cars, but thats mainly scoobys and beemers so not really my cuppa tea. Although there is a golf running NOS kicking about town too....

Just read the whole thread, its looking nice. I got a 5 door 1.0. Same colour too Mines been debadged all round. Plenty to do to get it how I want it, 40mm lowering isnt enough either, after seeing this I think 60 or 80 will do me.

I'm not sure on the back lights, it looks kinda cool, but for some reason doesnt look quite right keep the updates coming man!

Following on from the posts about flies,

This was Leeds to Birmingham.

It is worse in person as they are all over the inner arches aswel. Absolutely disgusting!

Lights dont look to bad tbh, just give it a bash matey I mean people may not like it but you are modding the car for yourself not others, so if you think its cool then go for it.

One suggestion though, you not thought about using lamin-x instead of that spray tint, cause the spray can look abit patchy.

Thanks for the comments guys! I will go ahead with the lights but i'll use lamin-x to make it less than permanent. I'm dead chuffed with how the car's sitting , plus the improved handling means it now drives like a dream! My next trick will be to get all the bodywork tidied up i reckon, then we'll see how things go!

I love how all these subtle little mods have completely changed your car! You've definitely given me a few ideas for mine! Just need some monies :(

I have a few Q's:

1. Where did you find the cup holders? Care to give me a rough guide to fitting them?

2. What size are the speakers in the front doors? I haven't got the money to buy amps and subs, plus I need the boot space for my girlfriends wheelchair. So I was thinking just a decent set of speakers in the doors, and leave it at that, what d'you think?

3. Is it easy to get the Polo badge off? How d'you do it without scratching the paint?

Think overall your Polo looks awesome! Love all the little touches and what not. I know it's cool to have the bottom of your car scraping every bump in the road, but I think you've got a perfect compromise between looks, and practicality. How much did you pay for the springs and dampers?

One thing though, the No plate there is so annoying! Lol, each to there own, but it would look so much better in the proper place!

Also, get a post up about the MX! My step Dad's got one, not supercharged though Still pretty cool little motors though.

I might have to tap you up when I start driving down to the girlfriends, she lives in Bridport, so would be cool to go to a meet whilst I'm there, check out the competition

1. Cupholders- They came from another (higher spec) polo at a scrappy's, i got them for free when i got my alloys. As for fitting, if you look under your stereo section you'll see theres a blanking plate, held on with torx bolts. Its just a direct replacement for that! Unbolt the blank plate, then pop your cupholder in , and robert's your mother's brother

2. The speakers are 17cm, Mine are just some simple pioneer jobbies in the front door with no extra amps to them, and they sound great, just spend as much as you can and you'll get great sound quality. they're quite simple to fit but you have to remove the door card.

3. Debadging- Pour hot but not boiling water on the badge and then pry it off with a credit card. Use tar remover for the residue left by the badge

4. Number plate - :p

The ride of my car is still very comfy, i did the 3hr trip to my old man's house last night with my buckets in too and i wasn't at all saddlesore. I bought the dampers 2nd hand but they normally retail for about £150

I will do some detail on the Eunos soon, don't worry

After we'd finished pissing about with the seats this is what we got, finally got the recliners working

Love the german plates! Definatly something I want to get! I like the buckets too, I'm usually against them, but they do look great. Colour suits the car.

Cant wait to get mine lower
