i need 2 new tyers sized 165 55 13, but i dont know what to get i can have nankang at £26 or accelera at £26

whitch is better?

i have herd nankang are not 2 good in the wet but never herd of accelera. i know there never as good as pirelli but cant aford any thing like that.

They're just as bad as each other haha. I use the nankangs an they're pretty awful, but oh well cant complain at 26 quid a corner!

Accelera's I am running 195/50/15. There spot on budget tyres, handle well in all conditions! Hope it helps.

This is true. Especcially as a lot of places round seem to be selling stuff that's barely touched the road.

Yeah if you do look into part worn stuff check out Yoko A539's 175/50/13

I've always used partworns and had no problems so far

but make sure you buy matching pairs

acceleras, are THE best budget tyres on the market :p Highly recomendded Should really read better lol there are some khumo acceleras i have had at 30 quid a pop lol sorry

How many people slating them have actually used them?

Mine have been on over summer on the schmidts and there fine. Just the same as the tyres i have on my winter wheels.

I've tried nsIIs they are ok.

I've got the Nankang NS2 sports on my G60s.

they were bloody awful in the snow...had no traction even pulling away in 2nd gear with minimal revs caused them to slide.

as stated above somewhere, there ok in the wet...not great though.

but i have no complaints with them in dry weather haha.

i had accelera's they are very good in the dry but can be a little slipy in the wet but nothin major.. they go for ages aswell. i had mine on for a good 6months and they still looked new.

Not meaning to stick my nose in but are these Nankangs that bad that I should put the budget Barums(continentals budget brand) on the front?

I have two of each (barely used) only cost me £50 with tarantulas.

How many people who say Nankangs of any type are good, have actually tried anything other than nipping to the shops with them on? They might be fine for driving about town where there's no such thing as a corner, or you never need to go particularly fast, but other than that, they're absolutely fucking shocking!

I've used all sorts of budget tyres, I've even had 4 totally different decent tyres on a car before, and nothing came close to being as bad as a matched set of Nankangs. I've got an almost bald T1-S on the front left of my Saxo and can still go round a roundabout faster and safer than having a partially worn ditchfinder...

If you've got to stick to a budget with tyres, go with Kumhos. IMO, they are the best budget tyres you get. I had a matched set of KU31s on my old Escort and they were easily as good as Toyos and most Yokos.
