I've had both nankangs and accelera's in the past and i dont drive particularily hard but do like to push it every now and then. in my opinion they werent as ditchfinding as people seem to make out, but they are budget tyres so dont expect too much i guess :)

I can't believe people put a budget on the one thing that keeps your car on the road.

I always try and buy a good mid-range tyre at least for any car, cheap tyres are just the worst thing in the world.

As Tobyk said above though, if money is tight try and get a set of Kumho KU31's I've ran them on a few things now and they are very very good.

As above.......it's the tyres that are the only things in contact between you and the road.........BUT......... to answer the question here, I've not personally used the Accelera tyre before but I have used the Nankang before and I rate them highly, up there with Falken tyres! The Nankangs were ran on my Subaru and other performance cars I have had to put tyres on I would go for the Falkens. I have ran Toyos and Yokos before and found them far too soft and rubbish in the wet.

I suppose it's worth mentioning certain tyres work better on certain cars. The Toyos I'm running at the moment are good enough for my Saxo to pick a rear wheel up on a wet roundabout, so I'd say they've got enough grip. It had Nankangs NS-2s on it's last set of wheels and if I dropped into 3rd to overtake in the wet I'd be struggling for traction... Not to mention opposite lock was required when simply following traffic round said roundabout in the wet.

Hankooks are another semi budget tyre I absolutely love.

I'll agree with the Toyos being soft though, done 3k on them and killed the fronts, and I can probably count on one hand the number of proper standing starts I've done.
