bassicly i took it down to the garage which is a very respected garage he knows what hes on about (midland vw)

he ses what it is, the throttle cable slips from the throttle body after years of use. then to fix the problem he cleans the throttle body refits the accelerator cable. wipes the ecu and puts it into learn mode.

thats what i can understand he quoted me £50 to fix. if the car doesnt sell it will be going in for this at the end of the month,

the tax is £66 for 6 months

ill get some more pics tomroow

didnt this sell on here like 2 weeks ago?

edit- sorry just saw the "you all know the car" part of your add.....why do you want rid so fast if its a £50 fix mate?

Yer he brought it a few weeks back,

And yes its only a £50 fix i was there aswell when he said this, and it needs to go quick ish as when he got the quote to insure the car it was not bad but then by the time it come to insuring it, it went though the roof saying its change over fee's and that, The job he does just does not pay anuff to run it thats why its got to go.

Hes looking for a 6n2 really 1.0 Or 1.4 8v max or an decent 6n.

I realy dont understand what you just said. From what i can gather the insurance is not going to pay the £50 to fix the car and when he told them about this they refused to insure him all together? is this right. Also whats his job got to do with anything? my job could be caring for hamsters but have a shit load of money in the bank, they still cant refuse me if i can come up with the money. Also i thought the car has not been put on the log book yet as a 16v. If you left it as a 8v as it says on the log he would of had no trouble getting insured.

Hmm is it originally a valver or conversion I forgot who had it originally? What service history is with it? What the body like paint wise and for rust? Condition of interior?

I have a storm grey 1.4 L 8v

79k, just had new battery, really good interior wise,

look in members gallery for mine if your interested? I may also be interested too! Dunno if I like White 6ns tho can't decide lol

if we did how ever id have to keep the front fogs n a few bits n bobs?

Is the car still available, i have look quickly but can't see where you are based (assume Midlands) as the garage is midland VW...

West Midland, Cannock

fancy a 1.9d 6n mate

Ah i understand so the insurance has been fucking him about. He was going to get insured on it for a good price then when it came down to it they added more for change over fee's and other bullshit insurance people come up with. I was just wondering though has it now be declared as a 1.4 16v or is it still down as a 8v?. If its down as an 8v id be more than happy to talk business with you but a 16v would rape me on insurance :)

its down as an 8v. well was when i sold it, bodywork overall is good.

goes liek a train.

shame to see its being moved on again :(

i dont understand why people fuck around with their insurance??

if your not planning on declaring it as a 16v or declaring any other mods then whats the point in having insurance in the first place?

if you cant afford it for what the car is then dont buy it, simple.

its people that do this that cause the premiums to go up for everyone that does declare.
