I brought this today as my plans with my polo have change. I like to get it mint before I bring it to my first Polo show.

Therefore, this is what I got still like to stick to the DUB

Golf Drive 1.8 8v carb

I got it with a few problems but nothing that could not be fixed

1. Electrics Clocks did not work brake lights had blown:

2. Running problem link to electrically problem:

Replaced earth strap and check fuses all the fuses where wrong. Especially the fuel was a 20 amp not 30 so the fuel pump was not working right this why the guy had the idle turned all the way up now running sweet.

Future plans

1, Clean and a Polish

2, Low and slow

3, Alloys Refurb and polished up

Tonight hopefully sort the idle problem it was turned up to the max with the fuel problem.

only thing now these a black wire not connect to anything near the bulk head single black can reach the carb but doesn't seem to attach to anything

however when place on the manifold the fan start it very strange

Can you get a picture up of where this black wire is? There should be an earth wire going to the block on the gearbox side, look for a crimp under a rocker cover nut that is missing a wire.

Maybe with this I come to my first meet it still a dub and hold a little respect and not a chevrolgay if i turned up in my chevrolgay I should shoot myself.

Had a rethink, check my edit.

This is the Wire in question it does not go that far and even when the ignition is off the fan come on if, the wire touches the manifold.
