Will a G40 Clutch fit a 6n 1-1.6L?

Featured Replies

Considering ratting my G.F's polo as its knackered and she has a replacement...

so figured whilst i'm turbo'ing the G i'd drop a 1600, drop it with some rims n rat the shit out of it... and use it as a daily... I was just going to pick up a 1600 block n head then throw on, a spare new G40 clutch i have lying around and use the box off the 1.0L...

I know this is still going to be slow but the current buggar'd 1.0L makes me want to cry esp with a h.g and clutch Failling!!!

just want the facts on the clutch/box/block combo...

also guessing i'd need the ecu from the 160.0... have the carb already...

cheers

The clutch will fit,yes.

adz, you can also fit a mk2/3 flywheel as its lighter and use a mk3 starter motor.

g40 clutches are 200mm i think, which is the same size as the valvers
